It is with some sadness and great appreciation for your companionship, dear reader, that I must close out this newsletter. Also, without premeditation, I have concluded my summer in Colorado and returned to my residence in Austin. Although I have missed my family and friends here, I am anxious to return to the mountains — and felt as such the moment they slipped away from me on the horizon. In their place, first there were plateaus, then there were mesas, then there were plains filled with wind turbines, then plains dotted with pump-jacks and drums, then there were hills and scrub brush and, finally, there was home.
I am having trouble dredging out my longing and finding something positive to write as a dénouement. Sometimes things are not tied up as pleasantly and perfectly as we might hope. I will say, that I have appreciated your attention, your comments, and your patience with me as I figure out both my camera and my daily vignettes.
I am going to take some time to unpack, spend time with my family and friends, and hopefully return to writing in some form or fashion in the coming weeks.
Feel free to unsubscribe or stay tuned.
Until next time my friend,
Cayla
