Please allow me to interrupt the regularly scheduled programming with a New Bike Day post! There was a dearth of images to choose from yesterday, due in part because I purchased this new bike and my priorities shifted.
Because I cannot say it better myself, I will quote Craig Mod:
And on and on — bikes. Why? Because as any bike lover will tell you, to be ensorcelled by the bike is to crave one and only one thing: More bike. Each new bike is like riding once again for the first time.
I’ll keep this one short because I’m doing my very darnedest not to turn this into a cycling newsletter. I will say, my favorite thing about this bike is that, because I bought it used, it already has some chips and scuffs and signs of being well-loved and ridden and dropped and bumped. These imperfections make it easier to try new things without fear of causing the first signs of wear. I feel the same way about my white canvas Filson tote bag, also purchased second-hand and patinated. It’s best not to covet something to the degree that you do not use it for its intended purpose out of fear.
Go ahead and leave your mark,
C
Leaving my mark right here. :)
Is the chain purple and green, or does it just seem that way? Nice post....let's ride!
I love, love your voice. "Go ahead and leave your mark". <3
